Ford Prefect 100E
Ford Prefect 100E
The Ford Prefect was once a ubiquitous sight on British roads, being marketed as a simple and affordable car for ordinary families. A Prefect can be spotted in virtually all 1950s photos of street scenes and films and the car would be an ideal way of giving period authenticity to a production set in that era. Even in its day, the running gear of the Ford was basic in concept, so electronic ignition and an electric fuel pump have been fitted to improve reliability. The bodywork and interior of this example have been restored to a high standard and everything has been done to period specification. The car is almost a time-warp and will bring back many memories of bygone days of motoring for those who were brought up in the fifties.
